Caught my fancy!

Now,
I have this thing,
A special, sudden craving ...

Not for pretty shoes,
Clothes or bling ...
Not for a money-truck,
Or for making a quick buck.
Tis rising in me like a hot-spring
(*guffaws, then laughs*)

Oh,
Tis a Watering-Can fling! :)
I Got to get hold of a peppy looking one,
The brightest, cheeriest under the sun!

Bangalore-based folks, if you have any ideas as to where to get hold of one like these, pls do drop me a note!!

Must mention, I came across the work of two wonderful artists - Annabelle's Fine Artworks and Naturally Mosaics - in the process of looking up these!

And I've joined A La Carte this Friday!
(PS: All pictures above are completely drool-worthy to me, but are sole copyrights of Amazon, istockphoto, Aldeahome, Naturally Mosaics, Annabelle, Select2Gether, 67pics, and HenandHammock. )

Wall Art - Wielding my paintbrush

When the urge to paint took over me!

This one's in watercolor, I credit my inspiration to a painting of artist Gregory Alexander.

Here, using just colour pencils, I recreated a watercolour painting of artist Dennis Roxby Bott.

I have linked this post to A Few of my Favorite Things, the KeyBunch February Carnival, ColorsDekor Weekend Wrap-up, A stroll through Life and to the Paint Party @Domestically Speaking!

3 Basic Tips for Every Gardening Beginner

Gardening Beginner Tips

Here are 3 Basic Tips for Every Gardening Beginner, that I have learnt from my mistakes.

- Have faith in plants! They may wither if they aren't given water for a few days, but if they have roots, they spring back to life when the watering - manuring routine continues. So never throw any away if you see them drooping and withered.

- 1/3 white sand + 1/3 red mud + 1/3 manure = pot mix that always works! Add to this some tender loving care and ample water, of course.

- Never ignore pest control. Try going the natural way: boil tobacco leaves and lime paste in water. Strain it and spray the water on the plants every four months.

Do write in if you have found these to work.
